1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using ShredPlate (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ShredPlate is an AI-first kitchen assistant that helps you track a pantry, discover and generate recipes, plan meals, manage grocery lists, and log nutrition and body metrics. Some features use artificial intelligence, including a chat assistant and photo-based ingredient recognition.

3. AI output is not professional advice

Recipes, nutrition figures, meal suggestions, and answers from the AI assistant are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for general informational purposes only and are not medical, nutritional, dietary, or health advice.

Always verify AI output before relying on it, especially regarding food allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions, and nutritional accuracy. Do not rely on the Service to determine whether a food is safe for you. Consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary decisions. You use AI output at your own risk.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
• upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is illegal or infringing;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• misuse the AI features to generate harmful, deceptive, or infringing content.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you add — including photos, recipes, and notes. You grant us the limited rights needed to store and process that content in order to operate the Service and provide the features you request (including sending relevant data to our AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy).

7. Service provided "as is"

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be correct. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law
